The annual Victoria's Secret fashion show has returned to New York after four years on the road. The Victoria's Secret fashion show doesn't offer up anything radically different year to year - gorgeous women in frilly lingerie that never actually hits the sales floor, which makes it pretty much like every other runway show.
With all that being said, it's always exciting to dream big, dream sexy, and hope that someday someone will magically put a pair of sky-high stilettos and angel wings on you for your stomp down the runway. Visitors to the Sears Tower's new glass balconies all seem to agree: The first step is the hardest. The balconies are suspended 1,353 feet in the air and jut out four feet from the building's 103rd floor Skydeck. Their transparent walls, floor and ceiling leave visitors with the impression they're floating over the city.
"It's like walking on ice," said Margaret Kemp, of Bishop, Calif., who said her heart was still pounding even after stepping away from the balcony. "That first step you take — 'am I going down?'"
Kemp was among the visitors who got a sneak preview of the balconies Wednesday. "The Ledge," as the balconies have been nicknamed, open to the public Thursday. Visitors are treated to unobstructed views of Chicago from the building's west side and a heart-stopping vista of the street and Chicago River below — for those brave enough to look straight down. AeroIndia 2009, the biennial Air Show, organised by the Ministry of Defence. The Show comprises the Flying display, the static display, the exhibition and the International Seminar. 
While the flying / static displays and the exhibition showcase the products from all over the world, the International Seminar throws light on the current and emerging technologies. The Seminar is jointly organised by Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and the Aeronautical Society of India (AeSI).
1.Shravanabelagola or Gomateshwara 
The 17.8 m monolith of Jain prophet Bhagavan Gomateshwara Bahubali, which was carved out around 983 C.E and is located in Shravanabelagola, India, is anointed with saffron every 12 years by thousands of devotees as part of the Mahamastakabhisheka festival.The colossal monolithic statue of Gomateshwara (Shravanabelagola is a synonymous word), also called as Bahubali the Jain saint, created around 983 C.E by Chamundaraya, a minister of the Ganga King, Rachamalla (Raachmalla SathyaVaak IV 975-986 C.E) is located atop the Chandragiri hill (618 steps climb leads to the monolith on the hill), near the town of Shravanabelagola in Karnataka state. This statue is said to have been carved out of a single block of fine-grained white granite and is considered of great religious significance because Jains believe Bahubali was the first to attain moksha (freedom from cycle of birth and death). The image stands on a lotus.

In a zoo in CA, a mother tiger gave birth to a rare set of triplet tiger cubs. Unfortunately, due to complications in the pregnancy, the cubs were born prematurely and due to their tiny size, they died shortly after birth. The mother tiger after recovering from the delivery, suddenly started to decline in health, although physically she was fine. The veterinarians felt that the loss of her litter had caused the tigress to fall into a depression. The doctors decided that if the tigress could surrogate another mother's cubs, perhaps she would improve.After checking with many other zoos across the country, the depressing news was that there were no tiger cubs of the right age to introduce to the mourning mother. The veterinarians decided to try something that had never been tried in a zoo environment.
Sometimes a mother of one species will take on the care of a different species. The only orphans" that could be found quickly, were a litter of weaner pigs. The zoo keepers and vets wrapped the piglets in tiger skin and placed the babies around the mother tiger. Would they become cubs or pork chops?? Take a look... you won't believe your eyes!!

Aesthetically, we try to introduce new elements, like this year saw a few black and white photos, we put two shots on one page -- on the whole, it was much tighter in terms of competition. There are a lot of similar calendars being published lately, but while a lot of people may shoot sexy ladies in swimsuits, we try and capture the soul of a woman in our photographs. And that's what sets us apart from the rest.

Test cricket has definitely become faster, there are more shots played, more runs scored, batsmen innovate more and are prepared to take more chances both because of the introduction of Twenty20 cricket and the fact that there’s plenty of one-day cricket played. That is one positive change.
Isn't the amount of T20s played a worry?
At this stage I feel T20s are fine, something one would like to see, the game getting globalised that is. With the introduction of T20, more non cricket-playing countries are coming to the game.

Abu Azmi Slapped... is it a slap on the Hindi language?
The recent 'slap' episode in Maharashtra assembly, made Raj Thakre's MNS overnight hit in Maharashtrians. Abu Azmi, an elected MLA of Samajwadi Party insisted on taking oath in Hindi and MNS MLA manhandled him in the assembly. It started different debates in media... right from whether Hindi is a national language to whether it was a petty attempt to grab media attention.
